The Land of Make Believe

This is the first time (as we understand it) that a cruise ship stage show use a ultra violet scenic floor as a main design feature of the set. Designs by Ian Westbrook incorporated sliding wings and three dimensional trees, detailed and highly colourful painted backdrops. A fire breathing dragon that appears from under the stage to create magical moments for the audience. All sets, props and costumes had to be built in small 2 meter sections to get it on board ship through the corridors and stairwells. Fit ups were always overnight and  at sea.
